Features

Everything. In one tool.

Kadence brings your training tools together in one app — with enough depth that you won't miss a second one. Here is what's inside, module by module.

Timer & Builder

One builder for every workout format.

Every Kadence workout is an ordered list of steps — with names, voice cues and rests. That one primitive covers everything from a simple interval timer to a full competition WOD.

  • All formats built in — Intervals, Tabata, AMRAP, EMOM and For Time — with rep schemes, round counters and a result clock.
  • 27 named WODs, fully executable — 14 Girls, 10 Heroes and 3 box benchmarks — Fran, Cindy, Chelsea, Murph, DT, Macho Man and more. Not list entries, but complete workouts the player runs step by step.
  • Prescribed loads & scaling — Benchmarks carry their prescribed loads — both standards side by side, your own highlighted, vest weight included where it belongs. After the workout you log what you actually lifted, and the result is filed as “as prescribed” or “scaled” — so your Fran times stay comparable.

Strength & Programs

A serious log. Real programs.

Sets, reps, weight, RPE, supersets, auto-rest, PR and 1RM history with an unlimited log. On top sits a real program layer with the classics of strength training.

  • Proven programs, verified — 5/3/1, Reddit PPL, StrongLifts 5×5, GZCLP, PHUL, nSuns and more — checked against their published reference tables.
  • Training max & auto-progression — Percentage-based weights, AMRAP sets with target reps, progression decisions in plain language — correctable with one tap.
  • Build your own sessions — Put together your own strength session from 130+ exercises — searchable, filtered by muscle group and equipment, each with illustration. Or add your own exercise if one is missing.

The Player

Hands free. Eyes free. Just train.

The full-screen player is the heart of Kadence: huge timers, a progress ring and spoken cues that tell you what comes next — so the phone stays on the floor while you train.

  • Voice guidance — Every step, every rest, every countdown is announced. Works with your music.
  • Runs in the background — Lock the screen or switch apps — the workout keeps running and keeps talking.
  • Heart rate in the workout — Your live heart rate from the Apple Watch sits right in the player. If a step has a target zone, the player shows it for that phase — and whether you are in it.

Ready-made workouts

Start training, not building.

Kadence ships with a library of complete workouts across seven categories: mobility routines, HIIT circuits, strength sessions, the named benchmark WODs, jump training, Pilates sequences and short cardio units. Every one is a finished workout with named steps, phases and voice cues — from four minutes to forty. Open one, press start, the player takes it from there.

  • Seven categories — Mobility, HIIT, strength, WOD, jump training, Pilates and cardio — each category with its own page on this site so you can look before you install.
  • Complete, not templates — No empty builder screen: every entry has its steps, durations, rounds and rests already set. The player runs it step by step.
  • Named benchmark WODs — The classic benchmark workouts with their original scheme — for time, AMRAP or EMOM — and a time cap where the format calls for one.

Mobility, Pilates & Recovery

The quiet half of serious training.

An illustrated library of 60+ mobility exercises, short routines for tight time windows, Pilates as a full category and target-area routines for the body parts hard training demands the most from.

  • Target-area routines — Strength and mobility routines by body area — forearm and elbow, calf and achilles, knee, lower back, neck and shoulders and more.
  • Pilates, done properly — From gentle basics to the classical 34-exercise mat sequence in its original order — plus wall and band formats that need no equipment.
  • Isometrics collection — Angle-specific strength and stability work — full effort, no impact, no equipment, apartment-friendly.

Nutrition

Track meals in seconds.

A calorie tracker with barcode scanning built for the German market. Your own meals, favourites and recents make daily tracking a matter of seconds.

  • Barcode scan that hits — Point, scan, done — tuned for the products on German shelves.
  • Your own meals — Save what you actually eat and log it with one tap, portioned.
  • Honest numbers — Micronutrients appear as plain values where data exists — no invented progress bars pretending to know your coverage.

Goals

A goal that waits, not one that nags.

Set what you are working towards, then keep training. Kadence counts your goals from the workouts you already log — nothing to tick off, nothing to maintain by hand. And when life gets in the way, a goal pauses instead of punishing you.

  • Five kinds of goal — Train three times a week (frequency), run 100 km a month (cumulative), hold your weight within 2 kg (body metric), do your first pull-up (milestone), bench 100 kg (personal record).
  • Counted from your log — Finish a workout and your goals move on their own. The progress is recalculated from your sessions every time, so a deleted session never leaves a wrong number behind.
  • Pause without losing it — Injured, travelling, or just done with this one for now? Pause a goal or stop following it — and pick it up later from where it stood. The archive keeps everything you finished.

Apple Watch & Health

Your wrist. Your data.

The Apple Watch app puts the running workout on your wrist: live heart rate and zones, full control over the session, and timed favourites you can start without your phone. Every workout is written to Apple Health — exactly one entry per session.

  • The workout on your wrist — Step name, remaining time, progress ring, heart rate and active calories — look at your wrist instead of reaching for your phone. Plus an always-on view when you drop your arm.
  • Control from the watch — Pause, resume, skip, go back or end the session from your wrist — with heart-rate zones as a bar and as plain text on their own page.
  • Train without your phone — Timed favourites start on the watch alone, with the full player and their own Health entry. A face complication opens Kadence with one tap.
